About us

We're a government-approved tenancy deposit scheme designed to help landlords and agents comply with the law. We hold and protect the tenant’s deposit for the duration of the tenancy, then release it back once both parties have authorised its return. We offer a free dispute resolution service to resolve any dispute over any deductions to the deposit.

The law

All landlords and agents in Scotland who take a deposit from their tenant must lodge it with a tenancy deposit scheme within 30 working days of the tenancy start date. The law is designed to safeguard the tenant’s deposit and ensure they receive it back at the end of the tenancy, provided they have met the terms of the Tenancy Agreement.

"mydeposits Scotland has a reputation for outstanding support and customer service."
